DMCA Policy

1. Overview

Codify Bots respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses the Anti-Bypass service to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report content they believe is infringing, and how we respond, in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512, the “DMCA”) and similar laws in other jurisdictions.

2. Our Role as a Service

Codify Bots provides link-protection and verification technology. We do not host, store, upload, or publish the files or web pages that our links point to. A protected link simply verifies a visitor and then forwards them to a destination chosen by the developer or creator who created the link. The destination content is hosted by third parties and remains their responsibility.

Because of this, the most effective way to remove infringing material is usually to contact the website or host that actually stores it. Where you believe a link created through our service points to infringing material, you may also notify us using the process below, and we will act on valid notices by disabling the relevant link(s).

3. Filing a Takedown Notice

To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice of claimed infringement must be in writing and include all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list).
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the full Codify Bots link(s) (for example https://yourdomain/abc12345) so we can locate and disable them.
4. Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Do not send copies of copyrighted files — links and descriptions are enough.

6. Counter-Notification

If you believe a link was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the address above containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the link that was disabled and where it appeared before it was disabled.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the link was disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if outside the United States, of any judicial district in which Codify Bots may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

On receipt of a valid counter-notification we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant notifies us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore the link within 10 to 14 business days.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

Accounts and Developer API keys that are repeatedly the subject of valid copyright notices will be suspended or terminated, and their links disabled, in appropriate circumstances. This is in addition to our rights under the Terms & Conditions.

8. Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please make sure your claim is valid before submitting it. Consider consulting a lawyer if you are unsure.
